Do you have a favorite subject you want to preserve in a painting for years to come? Maybe you want a painting of a loved one, a group, your pet, a family home, or a ship you served aboard. Whatever it is, I can memorialize it in a high-quality oil painting for you. I’ve done it for others and they love it.

Explore the Possibilities

Contact me using the form below to discuss concept, pricing and timing. I can get it to you in a few weeks, depending upon size and composition. The total time is a combination of actual painting time on the easel and drying time because oil paint takes time to completely dry.

Pricing

It's affordable. Pricing is dependent upon the size of the canvas, the complexity of the composition and framing (when chosen). Total price will include the painting, tax and shipping.  One-half of the total price is due at the start as a non-refundable deposit with the remaining balance due at time of shipping. Acceptable payment methods are credit card, PayPal, Venmo, check, or cash.

For example, a 10” x 10” (100 sq. in.) standout gallery canvas painting of a pet dog costs $325 plus tax and shipping. Larger sizes cost proportionally more.

When will we get the painting?

It will take three weeks or so for the painting to get to you. Total time is subject to the following steps: a) collecting the right reference materials; b) actual painting time on the easel; c) drying time (oil paint takes a week or so to dry sufficiently); d) framing by my vendor, if selected and e) shipping.

What about size and framing?

The best size is influenced by the location where the painting will be displayed. Should it be square, portrait orientation or landscape? A big wall may beg for a 24" x 30", whereas an 11" x 14" might be appropriate for other settings.

Paintings of pet dogs are a favorite on 10” x 10” standout gallery canvas ready for hanging.

Framing by me is optional. I use a framing vendor who does superb work with his fee being included in the total price quoted to you. However, most people get the framing done by their local frame shop or purchase a standard frame from an art store like Michael’s.

We can discuss other options via the “Begin the Conversation” link.

Do you paint on location or from photograph?

I generally work using reference photos provided by you. If necessary, I can travel to you to take the photos myself. If travel is outside my local area, additional travel expenses will apply. I do not paint plein-air on site.
